RESUME: Appeared in 197 games in a 10 year career with Seattle Sounders FC. Former Sounders FC Director of Community Outreach.

WHAT WILL YOU GET OUT OF BEING AN AMBASSADOR? With my history in Special Olympics participating in Unified Soccer with Sounders FC I know very well that what I give to the athletes I get back tenfold. The joy, experience, passion, and energy this event will bring to Seattle is more than enough.

ADVICE FOR COMPETITORS: Enjoy the process. Put the work in beforehand to put yourself in the best possible spot to be successful. There are going to be bumps in the road. But you never know when the opportunity is coming again so create memories that will last a lifetime.

ON THE IMPACT OF THE GAMES IN SEATTLE: Seattle is the perfect spot for the 2018 US Special Olympics Games. We’re a sports crazy town but more than that there’s a feeling of inclusivity. People are going to be excited to show our visitors the city and I think the entire event will build momentum for Special Olympics moving forward.

WHAT TO DO IN SEATTLE ON A DAY OFF? My favorite thing to do is to head out the I-90 corridor and hike or run on the amazing trail systems out there. Cougar Mountain, Squak Mountain, and Tiger Mountain are all right there and easy to get to.
