RESUME: Played for seven years in the NBA (including five seasons with the Seattle Supersonics). Was the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award winner in the NBA in 1976.

WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE ON THE BOARD? I have a very special relationship with the USA Games President Beth Knox. She knows that if she calls me for a favor the answer is yes, yes, yes. I think there should be an emphasis on helping all athletes.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR THE COMPETITORS? Always do the best you can and you won’t lose. You may not win first place, but if you do the best you can you never lose.

WHAT IMPACT WILL THE GAMES HAVE ON SEATTLE? I’m hoping the whole city gets behind the games and show appreciation for all the athletes. I hope we pack Husky Stadium for the opening ceremonies. I’ll be at the games cheering like it’s the NBA!

WHAT SHOULD ATHLETES SEE AND DO IN SEATTLE? Get out and play a round of golf, get a good meal afterwards and have a nice glass of wine. You can’t beat that!
